You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that meat and vegetables provide you with the nourishment you need to boost brain function and mood, plus improve performance in the gym. The hard part? Navigating social norms with a program that provides flexibility and long-term success with the help of a coach.  

We suggest two really great programs depending on your budget and personal needs:
NOOM and Working Against Gravity. 

We’ve Tried IT!

Noom helps you eat the appropriate macronutrients by logging your food into their software. It will tell you if the food you at was RED (lots of calories but doesn’t fill you like soda or almonds), YELLOW (moderate calories but will fill you like meat) or GREEN (really low in calories, dense in nutrients, and generally a veggie or fruit).  Each color division provides you with a cap on how many calories to eat. 

This program is economical because, although there is a coach with noom, it’s a bit more hands-off in comparison to Working Against Gravity and designed for accommodating a lot of people in need.   It’s not as intricate as counting specific macronutrients like WAG, but the technology is really clean and easy to use. 

Working Against Gravity

After submitting a questionnaire, a coach will reach out to you within 24-48 hours and a welcome packet to help you get set up with the resources to set you up for success. You’ll be encouraged to hit daily. macronutrient targets such as 153g carbs, 60g fat, and 120g protein.  You’re not counting calories because the balance of the macronutrients contribute to your body’s health at the cellular level, including curbing hunger. 

Having a coach is really important because you’ll come across a LOT of road blocks, like eating at restaurants, social encounters, stress-eating, planning for drinking alcohol, and general help with hitting your daily targets. Your coach is there to assist you every step of the way.  Each week you’ll check in with the coach with pictures, measurements, and how you felt about the prior week. 

Recovery
