Hoosier CrossFit is honestly one of the best things that has happened to me. My interest in CrossFit started when I was randomly watching the 2011 CrossFit games on TV. I was in awe of the power and strength the women had that were competing. I told myself I was going to get there one day, but didn’t know how.
My basic routine was going to the local gym, hopping on the treadmill and doing some weights, trying to remember what I did when I was in high school. But I was never consistent or motivated to push myself. About 6 months went by and I was walking my dog on the b-line trail and I saw a group of people run out of a building near by and the woman out front had the best legs I have ever seen in my life! (Her name is Heather and she is a trainer at Hoosier CrossFit) I walked up to see what was going on, Heather, was so eager to tell me what CrossFit was all about, not only did she take the time to talk to me, but Shaun, the head trainer and owner, stopped and came to talk to me. They were all so nice and committed I decided to give it a try!
I had a free intro session with Jenna, and completed my one-on-one training with Jenna in about 2 weeks! The movements were hard to learn, but Jenna was an incredible and patient coach who helped me through it and encouraged me every step of the way. I am now addicted to CrossFit and go 5-6 times a week. I love CrossFit because it is so empowering. The sense of camaraderie is awesome, from your fellow CrossFitters cheering you on to the coaches encouraging and perfecting your movements. I may not be a model in any shape but I am strong, and beautiful from the inside out and I feel so good about myself, accomplished. I love the way I look and feel…thank you Hoosier CrossFit coaches for pushing me beyond my limits and helping me reach my potential. I plan on doing CrossFit forever, and hope to compete someday!
